1. Background and Objectives
D-NOVO ® is a 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 product independently developed by Key Ingredients Biotechnology (Yi Chang) Co., Ltd. utilizing proprietary advanced biotechnology. D-NOVO ® is characterized by superior stability, high bioavailability, excellent mixing uniformity, and environmental sustainability. Crucially, the active ingredients in D-NOVO ® are fully water-soluble; this molecular configuration directly facilitates a significantly enhanced absorption rate and superior metabolic efficiency compared to conventional formulations.
The primary objective of this study was to conduct a rigorous comparative analysis to verify the superior absorption kinetics and bioavailability of D-NOVO ® against leading competitor products.
2. Experimental Design
To evaluate the comparative absorption profiles, the study was executed under the following technical parameters:
Test Date: April 8, 2024.
Test Location: China Agricultural University Zhuozhou Experimental Base.
Test Subjects: 16 Cobb broilers (30 days of age).
Experimental Layout: Subjects were assigned to four treatment groups: D-NOVO ® and Competitor Groups 1, 2, and 3 (n=4 per group).
Administration: Each subject received a controlled gavage of 0.018g of 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 (0.05% active content).
Sampling Protocol: Venous blood collection was performed at 0h (baseline), and at 1, 2, 5, 9.5, and 24 hours post-administration.
Key Indicator: Quantitative measurement of plasma 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 concentration.
3. Results and Analysis
3.1 Quantitative Data Table The following data reflects the precise plasma 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 concentrations recorded across all observation intervals.
Table 1: Plasma 25-hydroxy Vitamin D3 Levels in Broilers Before and After Gavage (ng/ml)

3.2 Narrative Analysis of Absorption Kinetics
Technical analysis of the plasma concentration curves reveals a distinct advantage in both the speed and magnitude of absorption for the D-NOVO ® group:
Accelerated Peak Concentration: Of technical significance, D-NOVO ® achieved its peak absorption concentration at just 2 hours post-gavage. In contrast, all three competitor groups required approximately 5 hours to reach peak levels. This indicates that D-NOVO® reaches maximum metabolic availability in less than half the time of competing products, a direct result of its fully water-soluble formulation.
Efficacy During the Primary Absorption Window: In poultry, the physiological timeframe for crop emptying is approximately 5 hours. Therefore, the average concentration across the 1h, 2h, and 5h intervals serves as the critical metric for absorption efficiency during the primary digestive phase.
o D-NOVO® Average: 40.05 ng/ml
o Competitor 1 Average: 26.19 ng/ml
o Competitor 2 Average: 29.86 ng/ml
o Competitor 3 Average: 25.91 ng/ml
Comparative Advantage: The data confirms that plasma levels of 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 in the D-NOVO ® group were 34% to 55% higher than those recorded in the competitor groups, demonstrating significantly higher bioavailability

4. Conclusions
The experimental data confirms that D-NOVO ® optimizes vitamin D3 uptake through a faster absorption velocity and a significantly higher total absorption rate. The absorption efficiency of D-NOVO ® is 34% to 55% higher than that of the tested competing 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 products.
From a practical breeding perspective, these findings indicate that D-NOVO ® provides a more robust and rapid solution for addressing metabolic deficiencies. By ensuring more efficient delivery of active vitamin D3 to the systemic circulation, D-NOVO ® more effectively resolves critical breeding challenges related to bone health and eggshell quality.
